The Inn in Winter

Christmas 2004
Things are quiet in Muskoka, muffled by four feet of snow! The local golf courses are hibernating while the ski hill has some of the best early base in years and the promise of a great season.
Stood in the window last night watching our little herd of deer (a buck, a doe and a fawn) eating apples and stripping the "leaves" off our cedar trees. They'll grow back in the Spring.
The temperatures have been low - minus 28C with a windchill factor down to minus 40C (that's where celcius meets farenheit!) Isabel's car froze. But it won't last long and its the low temperatures that protect us from things like Lyme's disease in the deer.
